Good with soups, chili. Makes excellent toast, or hearty sandwiches. Omit salt entirely if adding cheese though.

Sounds like a perfect winter bread. Thanks!

I made the bread, even tho it cost me my last bottle of beer, and we both had a warm slice. It was well worth the beer.Very good.ThankPS: I made a photo of the bread but you have one posted,so I didn't post it..Bob

Looks good and sounds perfect for chili! I wonder how it would be toasted with leftover turkey and cranberry sauce? or not for you vegans! ;)

Very nice sounding yeast-free egg-free quick-bread, lovely photo too

Sounds really good!!! I love baking bread, especially during winter. :) Thanks, jojo!

I made this bread a few days ago. What a wonderful recipe! I am not a baker by any means, but this recipe is quick to prepare and delicious. A friend who bakes her own bread said, "I spent 5 hours making bread, while you threw a few ingredients together, stuck it in the oven, and ended up with something delicious." Thanks!

I used all unbleached white flour (I was out of whole wheat) and agave nectar in place of honey, but it came out fine. The baking time in the recipe was perfect.
