How to make it

  • Clean the shrimps, (and cut out the black thread down the back).
  • Peel and chop the garlic finely, fry it in the oil for just a few seconds to release the smell.
  • Add butter and all the sauces and stir fry them for a minute, then add the shrimp, and 30 seconds just to cook them (they don't take long).
  • Mix the corn flour and water and add to the pan. Cook for a further minute to let the sauce thicken.
  • Best over rice.

    This was a GREAT DISH! Fast to make and delicious!
    So I joined this web site!
    I made crisp chow mein noodles and poured this garlice sauce shrimp over it YUMMY!

    Great recipe! I prepared it last night and my husband loved the flavoring. Tasty but not hot. I found oyster sauce in the supermarket--didn't know what it was before--though I had seen it on Chinese restaurant menus. The corn flour as a thickener is just right! Thank you,

    This looks great! The corn flour is even gluten-free. I'll have to find out what oyster sauce is--hope it is gluten-free.
