Ingredients
  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 4 JUMBO eggs
  • 2 teasp. vanilla
  • 4 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teasp. salt
  • 1 teasp. baking powder
  • 1 teasp. baking soda
  • 5 cups old fashion rolled oats ( not the quick cook )
  • 1 cup walnuts coarsely chopped (I use more)
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions
  1. in an extra large bowl: beat butter, brown sugar, white sugar until creamy
  2. add eggs and vanilla beat well
  3. add the flour, salt , baking powder, baking soda and mix well
  4. add nuts, raisins, and chocolate chips mix
  5. add oats and mix *****
  6. bake at 325' for 10-12 mins or until lightly brown
  7. ****** I add the oats last because I found it easier to mix.
  8. you can use different nuts, dried fruit, and different flavored chips...... I like them with more walnuts and raisins and no chocolate chips
