Simple Fried Squash Blossoms

- 12 freshly picked male squash blossoms shopping list
- flour for dredging shopping list
- 2 beaten eggs for dipping shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 2 Tbl E.V.O.O. and 2 Tbl butter, melted in a 10" to 12 " skillet over medium heat shopping list
How to make it
- Rinse blossoms and blot dry on paper towels
- Dip each blossom in egg, then in flour
- Place each blossom in butter/oil mixture over medium heat
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Fry until golden, turning once

Aren't these the best? We make these like francaise and sometimes stuff a little ricotta mixture in the blossom. I guess that is the Italian in our household showing!!
