Caesar Romaine Loaf

This is more a presentation than a recipe. Was served to me this way at the French Lick Resort. First time I've seen this arrangement.
Ingredients
- 1 head romaine lettuce shopping list
- croutons shopping list
- caesar salad dressing (bottled or roll your own) shopping list
How to make it
- Cut the bottom stem part from a head of Romaine lettuce.
- Clean the leaves carefully and assemble a package of four leaves that fit together to form a log See Photo. [See picture]
- Place a small grouping of croutons against the side of the lettuce.
- Drizzle the whole package with Caesar dressing.

One of our favorite restaurants will stand their romaine leaves straight up in a toasted bread cube. You pick out a leaf from what looks like a bread vase and eat it with your fingers. It is fun, too. This looks just as wonderful.
