Ingredients

How to make it

  • MARINADE: In a zipper bag, mix the soy sauce , orange juice, ginger, onion powder and orange peel. Mix well.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and leave overnight in the refrigerator, or for at least 8 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Strain the chicken from the marinade. (Do not discard the marinade). Coat the chicken with flour. In a large skillet, heat the oil and brown the chicken over medium high heat. Transfer to a 9x13 inch covered baking dish. Pour remaining marinade over chicken. Cover and bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake for 15 minutes more. Let cool and serve

sorry, this just did not turn out well for me. we didnt care for it. maybe adding some baking powder and some other things to the flour mixture and some extra brown sugar and soy sauce for the marinade? i think it would be great for marinating grilled chicken breasts.

You mention this as ideal for grilled chicken, but I am not certain what that step would replace. I assume it would be replacing the browning of the chicken in the skillet. Is that right? If not, where would the grilling fit in? This sounds wonderful as is, but I love the idea of grilling too! Thanks!
