Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon whipping cream

Directions
  1. In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients
  2. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly
  3. Stir in whipping cream, just until dry ingredients are moistened (over stirring toughens the biscuit)
  4. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured board or surface
  5. Knead only 5 or 6 times
  6. Roll or pat dough to 1/2 inch thickness
  7. Cut with a 2-1/2 inch biscuit cutter (can use rim of drinking glass)
  8. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet or pan
  9. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden
  10. These are delicious, delicious biscuits!

Sounds heavenly!!!! Thanks for posting this one!!!!!

These are very very good, I make mine with self rising flour and whipping cream. They make the best strawberry shortcakes also.
