Ingredients
  • 1 Cube soften/melted butter 1/4 lb
  • 1 Jar “Old English) cheese spread
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt (Lawry’s)
  • (1) 7 ounce can crabmeat (flaked). I think 2 cans are better or even fresh Dungeness is magnificent
  • 6 English Muffins makes 12 halves
  • Paprika

Directions
  1. Soften or microwave almost too liquid state.
  2. Mix all ingredients except the crab meat.
  3. Drain crabmeat, and then add to mix.
  4. Spread on each muffin half. It should be liberal and this batch is just enough for 12 halves
  5. Place of a cookie sheet and broil at upper half position in oven until slightly brown on top.
  6. Remove and cut each half into quarters.
  7. Muffins can be prepared and frozen on a cookie sheet. Once frozen place in zip lock bag.
  8. When ready to use, place on a cookie sheet and allow to defrost for at least 30 minutes or the top will brown and the bottom will be cold.

I will definitely make this! Thanks for the great photos.

Yummmmers.. this sounds good...Love crab....Pictures look Great as usual!!!!!!

Crab and cheese, yum.

Oh my goodness. These were delicious. I will definitely make again. I did toast the muffins just a bit before spreading, did place them on a cooking stone and baked them about 10 minutes at 350. I had potatoes in the oven and just put them under those, so it took a while for the stone to heat up, so they didn't cook that much, then I broiled them. My husband and I decided that 2 cans of crab might be too much, but just little more would still be good. Anyway, they were delicious. We loved them. Thanks so much.

Great. Glad you enjoyed. Nice post. JJ

This is a Must Try!!! Thanks for posting and the step by step pics.

Looking forward to trying this one on New Years!

Ohhhhhhhhhh I'm gonna try this with blue crab. No canned crab allowed in this house! Thank you!
