Mexican Pralines

- 3 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda in milk shopping list
- 2 cups broken pecan pieces shopping list
- 1 tsp Mexican vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- mix sugar, buttermilk, butter, salt and baking soda together in a large pan.
- cook on medium heat to a SOFT boil stage. check by dropping a small amount of the praline mixture into cold water. it should form a small ball.
- remove from heat and add pecans and vanilla.
- beat until it looses its glaze with a wire whip - approx 5-6 min. mixture should now look "milky".
- turn out on wax paper and allow to cool. Yummy!
