Honey Cornbread

- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs-lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/4 cup honey shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter-melted shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Pour melted butter into a 9" baking pan or a cast iron skillet. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl,combine flour,cornmeal,baking powder,salt,and sugar. Mix well.
- Add eggs,cream,oil,and honey.
- Stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into pan or skillet.
- Bake 20-25 minutes or until done.
- Spread additional butter over the top if desired. Cut into slices and serve immediately.
- Note:
- If you don't have whipping cream,simply use half and half, buttermilk or whole milk.
