How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • Pour melted butter into a 9" baking pan or a cast iron skillet. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl,combine flour,cornmeal,baking powder,salt,and sugar. Mix well.
  • Add eggs,cream,oil,and honey.
  • Stir until just combined.
  • Pour batter into pan or skillet.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes or until done.
  • Spread additional butter over the top if desired. Cut into slices and serve immediately.
  • Note:
  • If you don't have whipping cream,simply use half and half, buttermilk or whole milk.
