Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking up the large pieces with a wooden spoon.
  • Add the onion, garlic, salt, pepper and cumin.
  • cook about 10 minutes.
  • Drain off any grease, or scoop out with a spoon.
  • Add the tomato sauce and water.
  • Turn the heat to low and simmer uncovered another ten minutes, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking. You may need to add a touch more water at this point.

You have made me a hero! My Hubby + teen + teen friend are in Sloppie Joe Nervana. The only change I made...I know (my bad) I didn't realize that I was out of ketchup, so I sub'd with Texas Pete hot sauce and Catalina salad dressing. Sounds wacky, but they not only gave me 5's all around, but encouraged me to spend more time on this site! Thank You Again
