Ingredients

How to make it

  • Slice beef into 1/4 inch thick strips, about 4 inches long. (Freezing beef for 20 or so minutes will help in slicing.) Cut across the grain holding the knife at an angle.
  • Marinate beef strips in picante sauce for one hour, chilled.
  • Fill each jalapeno pepper half with 1/2 teaspoon cream cheese.
  • Wrap filled peppers with one steak strip, covering cream cheese as your wrap. Fasten with toothpick.
  • Grill or broil 4 inches from heat source for 2 minutes. Turn and cook an additional 2 minutes.
