Sour Cream Apple pie with Oatmeal Cookie Crust

- pie crust shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups of raw rolled oats shopping list
- 1/4 cup of sesame seeds shopping list
- 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 cup of finely minced nuts shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 cup of unsalted sweet butter, melted with shopping list
- 3 tbsp of honey shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 5 cups of sliced tart cooking apples shopping list
- juice and rind of one lemon shopping list
- 1/4 cup of light honey shopping list
- 2 tbsp of unbleached white flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of nutmeg shopping list
- 1 large egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup of sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Combine all crust ingredients and mix well.
- Press firmly and evenly into bottom and sides of a nine inch pie pan.
- Combine apples with lemon juice and rind.
- Drizzle in honey. Toss until uniformly coated.
- Sift in flour and spices. Toss again to coat.
- Arrange evenly in pie crust.
- Beat egg and sour cream together.
- Drizzle over the apples.
- Bake 40 minutes in center of oven on cookie sheet, in case of spillover.
- Serve hot or cold.

WOW! I'm with Ahmed!! You stopped me with the 'oatmeal crust', but the addition of sesame seeds too??? Sour cream clinches everything.... YUM! TY, Notyo :)
