this a quick stroganoff type recipe which has many variations.. I liked it over toast or jazzed up a bit and served in a crepe.. the recipe is from 365 ways to cook hamburger

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 lb sliced mushrooms
  • 2 TBSP. flour
  • 1 minced clove of garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teasp. paprika
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • toast
  • optional; fresh parsley

Directions
  1. saute onions in the butter until soft
  2. add: hamburger, mushrooms, flour, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika.
  3. saute until the hamburger loses it red color.
  4. add the can of cream of chicken soup
  5. simmer for 10 mins.
  6. stir in sour cream
  7. serve on toast topped with parsley
  8. can also be served on noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice
