Hungarian Potato Paprikas With Sausage

- 8 to 10 medium potatoes; large cubed shopping list
- 1/2 pound smoked sausage ( cut in rings) shopping list
- 1/4 pound smoked bacon; cut in small cubes) shopping list
- 1 large onion; finely chopped shopping list
- 1 medium cubanelle or frying pepper; chopped shopping list
- 1 medium tomato ( 6 to 8 slices) shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 large Tablespoon paprika shopping list
- 1 teaspoon Vegeta ( cna be found in Hungarian deli. Substitute same amount of adobo or other all-purpose seasoning if Vegeta unavailable) shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon ketchup shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram shopping list
- 1 pinch ground sweet basil shopping list
- 3 to 4 coriander seed shopping list
- 1/2 to 1/3 cup water shopping list
How to make it
- Fry bacon medium brown & remove to a plate. Add onion to bacon fat & fry medium brown. Add 1 Tablespoon paprika & add potato cubes. Put all the following into pan with browned onion: bacon, sausage,cubanelle pepper, tomato,salt, black pepper,Vegeta, ketchup, marjoram, basil, coriander seeds & water.
- Simmer over low heat , stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
