Super easy bar cookie recipe. This recipe is good if you need something in a hurry. This recipe was printed "early on" the back of a Duncan Hines cake mix. I got this recipe from one of my many cookbooks. I've made it many times and am asked quite often for the recipe for them. Read more They may be speedy little "devils", but they sure are heavenly!! Ingredients
- 1 pkg. devil's food cake mix shopping list
- 1 stick butter or margarine, melted shopping list
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter shopping list
- 1 (7 to 7.5 oz) jar marshmallow cream shopping list
How to make it
- Combine melted butter and cake mix -- let butter cool before adding to mix. Mix will be crumbly.
- Set aside -- reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture for topping.
- Pat remaining crumb mixture into an ungreased 9" X 13" pan.
- Combine marshmallow cream and peanut butter -- spread evenly over the crumb mixture in the pan.
- Crumble the reserved 1 1/2 cups of cake mixture over top of peanut butter/marshmallow mixture.
- Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees -- cool and cut into bars.
