Poor Mans Lasagna Recipe

I invented this years ago when presented with some donated food items, and everyone who has tried it loves it. It isn't gourmet, but it's cheap, simple, and filling. My ex-roommate's husband and stepson always begged me to make it.

Ingredients
- 2 packages macaroni & cheese
- 1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz) tomato sauce
Directions
- Boil macaroni according to package.
- Drain and add cream cheese and cheese packets.
- Mix well, and spread on the bottom of a large baking pan.
- Brown ground beef with onion.
- Mix in the tomato sauce, then pour mixture over macaroni.
- Bake at 375 F for 30 minutes.

If I have some cheddar cheese, I usually do grate it on top, but it isn't essential to the recipe.
