Spicy Grilled Lamb Patties Recipe
Indian food craving solved w/out going out to eat, and saving loads of fat and calories! You could also stuff this in a whole wheat pita!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 4 green onions, minced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup non-fat plain yogurt
  • cumin and curry powder to taste

Directions
  1. Preheat the grill for high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the lamb, green onions, garlic, curry powder, cumin, red pepper, salt and pepper (you can adjust these seasonings to you likings).
  3. Combine yogurt and spices for dipping.
  4. Form into 4 patties.
  5. Grill patties 5 minutes on each side, or until done.

This looks really good, but I would like to know two things, what type of curry mix did you use, and why, I say why, use non-fat yoghurt for such a nice dish? It does sound good!


Sounds great, my family love indian flavours. I am going to make this for dinner this weekend. I agree with a.k. though - lifes too short for non-fat!!
