How to make it

  • Place half of the torn bread in a greased casserole dish, spread the raspberries and mashed bananas on top. Then layer the remaining torn bread on top of that.
  • Heat milk in a small saucepan. Add chocolate chips and stir until melted. Let cool slightly. Mix in eggs, vanilla and salt.
  • Pour milk and egg mixture over the bread and let sit for a few minutes.
  • Bake 350F for about 50 minutes until set. Let sit for about 15 minutes before serving. Top with chocolate sauce.

" It was not good "

December 2/16 Boy have I struggled with this for the last two day. I hate giving bad reviews. When I saw this recipe I thought "Wow this would be fantastic. Everything that the family loves in one dessert." Sad to say that is not the case. While the concept is great the actual recipe was not for us. After cooking I found that there was no constancy and later saw that liquid was seeping into the pan. Back into the oven and tried again. Did not help. DH thinks that it was the fresh whole raspberries that I used caused the issue. Flavour wise not but me either. It is hard to really describe I just feel that there is a major ingredient missing. I am very sorry to say that this is NOT a recipe that I will be going to find out if I can tweak in any way.

Been looking for a "different" bread pudding. I think this may be the one. I'll come back tomorrow and let you know.

Recipe sounds quite delicious. Can't say I have ever made bread pudding before but this might be the recipe for me.
