I'm sure it tastes nice, but it sure ain't french bread, french bread is made using a poolish (preferment) Type 65 flour and NO sugar.
And it looks like this ..................

I just made this and it's perfect! I substituted about 1/3 whole wheat flour...so it was maybe a little heavier, but definitely delicious. :) Thanks!

I just made this and it is perfect!!! I made it exactly as written! I baked it for 30 minutes and the crust is nice and brown...just the way I like it! The inside is just the right texture. This tastes just like bread that I get at the bakery! I don't have to buy bread anymore...now I can make it at home! Oh, and it makes your house smell delicious!!! I added my photo!

I haven't made bread in awhile either. This sounds easy enough.
Do you use a loaf pan or shape and put on a sheet?
