Spaghetti Recipe
I never make Spaghetti the same twice because I don't really measure.... I just throw it together. I made this last night and wrote the measurements this time. This is last nights meal...

Ingredients
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 4-5 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1-2 pounds of ground beef
  • 2 pounds of pork country style ribs, bones and fat removed, slice into bite size pieces.
  • 1 package of hot italian sausage made into bite size balls
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
  • 18 oz of tomato paste
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 TBS oregano
  • 1/4 tsp rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp tyme
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 2 TBS parsley
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • spaghetti (cooked according to package)

Directions
  1. brown ground beef and pork in skillet with onions and garlic. salt and pepper to taste. In seperate skillet, brown italian sausage. drain any fat from meats. set aside.
  2. put the rest of the ingredience, except the parmagean cheese, into a large pot and warm till bubbly. salt and pepper this to taste also.
  3. add meat mixture and simmer for 30 adding cheese for the last 5 min.
  4. serve over warm spaghetti.

This sounds delicious!


This is a great Meat sauce, not the traditional method but a much healthier way to cook.
This way you can drain away the fat.Something we need to look out for.

My Dad would have put all of the meat bones and fat into the sauce and simmered it all day until the meat was so tender it fell off the bones.
It was good for it's day. Back then we did not know what we know today about cholesterol.
