This is a list of odd amount measurements, which may be helpful in preparing portions of recipes.

Ingredients
  • A pinch = less than 1/8 teaspoon
  • 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon
  • 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons = 1/6 cup
  • 4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup
  • 5 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon = 1/3 cup
  • 8 tablespoons = 1/2 cup
  • 12 tablespoons = 3/4 cup
  • 3/8 cup = 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons
  • 5/8 cup = 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons
  • 7/8 cup = 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons
  • 16 tablespoons = 1 cup = 8 ounces
  • 2 cups = 1 pint = 16 ounces
  • 2 pints = 1 quart
  • 4 quarts = 1 gallon
  • 1 ounce = 2 liquid tablespoons
