How to make it

  • In a large pot over medium heat brown the ground beef.
  • Stir constantly to break up meat into small pieces.
  • Add the chili seasonings, water, Worcestershire, mustard and onion powder.

I'm from New York and know how sinfully good "Coney Dogs" are first hand!
It's been a long time since, so I just have to make them with your recipe...my family will love this!
Also, when you buy hot dogs, you should try "Hebrew National" brand. They are all beef, Kosher and don't have any of the nasty ingredients that most hot dogs have. It's the only brand I buy.
Thanks for the recipe! (I have SO many of your recipes. I love them all, so keep them coming)!
    Debbie~

I supervised while my Grand-daughter made these for Labor Day. They came out great. The whole family loved them. She just about busted at the seams she was so proud of herself. Thanks for a great post.

I made the Coney Island Chili Dogs and they are really good. The flavor is tangy and it definitely tastes like homemade...which I LOVE! Boy, when you simmer - it *really* thickens up. I used Hebrew hotdogs and followed the directions to a "T" and this will now be a continually used recipe. Thank you for the post. :D
