Not sure where or when I came up with this recipe but I have been making it for years. It's tasty enough most meat eaters won't complain about it being tofu. Leave out the optional egg to make vegan.

No--I actually use a whole head of garlic. I am admittedly a total garlic freak--but this still can come out bland even with a whole head of garlic. I know it sounds excessive but...seriously...I'd recommend trying it with the whole head and dialing back on future attempts. This recipes is infinitely mutatable...one of the good things about it.
