Ingredients

How to make it

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  • Sautee garlic, ginger and onion in olive oil
  • Mix together all ingredients
  • Press into a well oiled glass loaf pan (the acid in the tomatoes will react with metal and affect the flavor)
  • Bake for 1 hour
  • Cool 5-10 minutes before serving

Sounds great ~ salsa would also be a great sub to replace ketchup!

No--I actually use a whole head of garlic. I am admittedly a total garlic freak--but this still can come out bland even with a whole head of garlic. I know it sounds excessive but...seriously...I'd recommend trying it with the whole head and dialing back on future attempts. This recipes is infinitely mutatable...one of the good things about it.

Is that supposed to be one *clove* of garlic?? I looove garlic, but a whole head seems like a hell of a lot...

Great! I hope you like it. It's a good "convenience" dish. There's probably lots of ways it could be improved on too. Let me know if you come up with any ideas.
