San Francisco Pork Chops Recipe
This is a sweet and spicy pork dish. It's quick and easy!

Ingredients
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Sauce:
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 4 tablespoons dry sherry or broth
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Directions
  1. Brown chops in oil with garlic. Remove chops from skillet.
  2. Sauce:
  3. Add oil, sherry, soy sauce, brown sugar and red pepper to skillet.
  4. Place chops back in skillet, turning to cover with sauce.
  5. Cover tightly.
  6. Simmer on low heat about 30 minutes.
  7. Remove chops.
  8. Dissolve corn starch in water and add to sauce. Cook until thickened.
  9. Pour over chops and serve with noodles or rice.
