Got this from the back of a powdered sugar package....Love it with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 pkg. vanilla pudding (3 1/2 oz.)
  • 3 tbls. softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 15 oz. can sliced peaches (drained but reserve 3 1/2 tbls. juice)
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbls. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions
  1. Add first 6 ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat at medium until all combined.
  2. Put in 9 inch greased pie plate.
  3. Arrange peaches over batter.
  4. In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and peach juice until combined.
  5. Spoon mixture over peaches.
  6. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top.
  7. Bake @ 350 for 30-35 minutes.

I made this and it is really good, I used fresh peaches brewed them up made my own juice, but was really concerned as to the vanilla pudding??? Is it instante or regular box cooking pudding? I also would like to know if the dough on the bottom was to appear more like a Bisquick sort of dough? When cooled and cut it appeared a little doughy was that the effect it was suppose to be?
I also brewed some really nice Black Berrys up and put a pat of butter, a little sugar, & 1 tab. of Tapioca with them to change it also into another flavor. I made 2 of them. Peach, Blackberry. It was very Rich and tasteful but concerned as to how it really should be at the bottom or if the pudding should have been regular as I used instant and doubled the batch.

What brand of powdered sugar box did the recipe come off of, I would like to research this a bit more.

Have you ever tried this with fresh peaches? Marie Callendar's had one many eons ago that was to die for. I died, but what a way to go! Gotta try this one!
