I love these! Been eating them all my life, but never tried them with the onion. Maybe I'll fry the onions first.

Gem, this morning I couldn't find anything I wanted for breakfast, saw some leftover mashed potatoes in the fridge and went looking online. What I found was your Potato Cakes recipe. Awesome! Thanks so much. Kari

I can't wait to try these! My Mom makes them but doesn't really have a recipe for it and I can never get mine to come out right.

I Love these. My mom would make them when I was growing up, & now I make them for my family. I salt/pepper the outsides & cook in butter. We tend to love the not so good for you stuff!
Thanks for sharing this & reminding me of my younger years.

I made these with dinner tonight and like your husband, mine loved them. I added a little cheese to them and they were a big hit..Now, I'll make extra potatoes on purpose.
