So easy to just put it all together, turn it on and let it do its thing! Can be done on stovetop or oven also if you don't have slow cooker.

Well, this didn't go too well. After 4 hours in a slow cooker on high, the beans were hard and I had to add more liquid. After 5 hours, the beans were still not close to being done...soooo, I turned the cooker down to low and it is still cooking after a total of 7 1/2 hours. I think maybe canned black beans would have worked out better. All the ingredients are there for great flavor!

Mine turned out great...maybe your cooker is not as hot as mine...if you use canned beans on high for 4 hours you will have mush. Did you add all the liquid?
