Best Ever Macaroni And Cheese Recipe
This is our family's all time comfort food. It freezes well and the texture is wonderful. Most requested recipe from the grand kids.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb macaroni
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup 1/2 & 1/2
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 2 cups assorted shredded cheese (cheddar, swiss, jack)
  • Pepper
  • 1/4 c butter

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly butter a deep 2 1/2 quart casserole. Cook pasta according to package directions. but don't overcook. Drain pasta and return to cooking pot and add 8 tbsp of butter. Add 1 1/2 cups of cheese to pasta and mix well. Heat gently till cheese melts. Mix milk with eggs and pepper pour over pasta.
  2. Pour mixture into casserole. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and bake until bubbling around the edges.
  3. The grand kids like bread crumbs mixed with butter on top of the pasta.

I watched a dealie on tv last night about macaroni and cheese and was thinking about making a good homemade macaroni and cheese...this is just the recipe I needed! Thanks for sharing :-)
