Old recipe. Salt meat lovers, come out of the closet! Salt meat is soaked overnight in milk and Karo, then rolled in flour and fried. Calm down, calm down. My grandmother lived to be 94 years old, and ate this much of her life.

Yep, that's it. Good stuff, too. My Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother ate this, fried in lard no less (as was their chicken), and lived to be 94 and 96. Strange, they never drank bottled water and used sugar in their coffee and iced tea. What they didn't eat was a lot of chemicals, fillers and artifical sweetners in their foods. Thanks for posting this.

Is this the same thing as salt pork? I've never heard of this, but if you soaked salt pork overnight, then fried it, it'd be almost like a sweet bacon!
I'll bet SaltyMike knows the answer, lol!
Thanks for this one, I'd like to try!
