How to make it

  • Mix shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs and blend well.
  • Add flour, cream of tartar and baking soda then chill dough.
  • Mix cinnamon and 2 T sugar in a plastic resealable container.
  • Roll into balls the size of a walnut and place in container.
  • Replace lid and shake to coat balls in sugar & cinnamon.
  • Remove from container and shake off excess and place 2 inches apart on un-greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 325 for 15 minutes.
