Ingredients
  • 1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese, divided (4 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup chopped sweet red pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 cup flaked imitation crabmeat, chopped

Directions
  1. Line unpricked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy duty foil.
  2. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes; remove foil and bake 5 minutes longer.
  3. Immediately sprinkle 1/2 cup cheese over crust.
  4. Reduce heat to 375 degrees.
  5. In a skillet saute red pepper and onions in butter until tender.
  6. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, cream, salt and pepper.
  7. Stir in the crab and red pepper mixture.
  8. Pour into crust.
  9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  10. Let stand for 15 minutes before cutting.
  11. 6 to 8 servings.
