Ingredients
  • 20 oz cold, salted butter
  • 2 ½ cups superfine sugar
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions
  1. Put the flour and sugar in a bowl add the butter on top. Cut in the butter, mixing it through the other ingredients.
  2. Add ¾ of the eggs and mix until you get a crumbly dough.
  3. Put the dough onto a baking tray and push it together until you get a layer about ½” thick. Cover the dough with the remaining eggs, smearing it out evenly with a spoon.
  4. Bake at 385° F for about 25 minutes
