It is Native American because Native Americans prepare and eat it in their homes. Not to be rude but informative. We no longer live in tipis and do use all the modern things other Americans avail themselves of. Our food is as old and as new as our ideas make it.

We made this when we were kids. Grandmother Kiogama made this every time she made fry bread. We kids liked it with butter too.
