Won-tons With Oyster Mushrooms And Crab Recipe

Won-tons With Oyster Mushrooms And Crab Recipe
This is an excellent recipe. By: Chris Matherly July 2007. I have posted his original recipe, but I like to use fresh crab and I also add a couple of cloves of garlic.

Ingredients
  • ½ lb Fresh Oyster Mushrooms
  • 1 pkg. Grated Italian Cheese Blend
  • 1 package of Cream Cheese
  • 1 can Crab-Meat
  • Fresh Green Onions
  • Egg Roll Wraps (refrigerated)
  • Oil for frying

Directions
  1. Cook your mushrooms first (dice them in to small chunks) Cook on med for 2-3 min in butter or oil. Add chopped green onions, and continue on med for 2-3 min.
  2. Put cream cheese, Grated Cheese, and cooked mushrooms/ onions into a bowl and mix well. Do not add crab meat.
  3. Now, cut your wrap in a triangle, and place a generous portion of mixture into triangle. If desired, add crab meat also. You may want to do some with and some without the crab!
  4. Fold them and pinch together folds and place on med high heat in oil. Place them folded part "up".
  5. A deep fryer would be great for these, if not, then you may need to turn them once. Fry until golden brown.
  6. Remove from pan, and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Enjoy!
