Favorite Chewy Oatmeal Cookie

Old recipe that you can't live without! Childhood memories will bring you back for more. Servings depend on how big you make them!
Ingredients
- - 1 cup white sugar shopping list
- - 1 cup brown sugar (now I use Splenda brown sugar) shopping list
- - 1 cup butter shopping list
- - 2 eggs shopping list
- - 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- - 1 cup chocolate chips shopping list
- - 3 cups quick oatmeal shopping list
- - 2 cups flour shopping list
- - 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- - 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- - 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional) shopping list
- 1 cup raisins (optional) shopping list
