Ingredients
  • GOOD DEEDS ARE LIKE BAKING BREAD

Directions
  1. Once upon a time a man did a good deed for his fellowmen. He was praised highly for the act. The praise was so rewarding to him that he thought only of it, forgetting to help anyone else. He soon became a forgotten man.
  2. When the man asked his wife why this was so, she said, "Husband, do you like the bread I bake?"
  3. "Yes, my good wife," he replied, "with practice your bread has become a masterpiece. If you had quit with the first loaf, I should never have known what fine bread you could bake. Why do you ask?"
  4. "Because, good husband, good deeds are like baking bread. the more you do it, the better it becomes. You bake not for the praise, but for the good others derive from the loaf!"
