This cake sounds real good, it reminds me of the cake my mom use to make except she use to do it with chocolate cake mix and cherry pie filling i would use real strawberries instead of can pie filling, and i never ate her cake, cause i didn't like cherry pie filling and i always scrape the fruit of the cherry cheese cake my mother always made, i would eat the cheesecake, i would just scrape the cherries, lol. My mother died in 2000 the chocolate cake is not made anymore, but i would make your cake,i don't remember ever seeing strawberry pie filling, that's why i would make it with fresh strawberrie's, can't wait for June when i can go strawberry picking and eating them first and having the juice running down the side's of your mouth, keep some to freeze and the rest make jam's with yum yum.
