From WIlliams-Sonoma..This was created in the 40's at Shannon Airport in Ireland. An American newspaper reporter passed on the recipe at his local bar, the Buena Vista in San Francisco. The original doesn't include Creme de Menthe but it adds a color... More

Ingredients
- 3 tbls. Irish whiskey
- 1 tbls. simple syrup (Recipe posted)
- 4 oz. hot coffee
- 2 tbls. whipped cream
- 1 tsp. Creme de Menthe
Directions
- Pour whiskey, simple syrup, and coffee into Irish coffee mug and stir
- Spoon whipped cream onto coffee mixture
- Drizzle with Creme de Menthe
