Fresh fish in eaten a great deal in Bengal ( Banglesh), and this dish is made with mustard oil wich gives the fish a good flavor.

If you can’t get mustard oil, just substitute it for your cooking oil.

Thanks for this awesome post Berry! i will post an indian pickle recipe soon...it calls for mustard oil too, which is at an indian grocery here in town.
