Saucy Meatloaf

- 1 onion, diced shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup ketchup shopping list
- 1/4 cup bbq sauce shopping list
- 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2tbsp spicy brown mustard shopping list
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard shopping list
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard shopping list
- 1 tbsp hot sauce shopping list
- 2 tbsp steak sauce shopping list
- 2 tbsp chili sauce shopping list
- 2 lbs ground beef shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs shopping list
- 1lb sliced bacon shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Put some butter or oil in a pan over medium heat and add onions.
- Sprinkle a couple pinches of salt and sweat the onions until they are translucent
- Add ketchup, bbq sauce, worcestershire sauce, spicy brown mustard, dijon mustard, yellow mustard, hot sauce, stead sauce, and chili sauce
- Stir ingredients together and allow to reduce over medium heat for several minutes (the longer it sits the more concentrated the flavor)
- Once the sauces have concentrated remove the mixture to a cool bowl
- Mix egg, bread crumbs and ground beef with fingers, just until the egg is evenly distributed
- Add sauce and onion mixture to meat and mix until evenly distributed
- Form the meat into a loaf
- On a baking sheet lay out enough bacon to make a base for your loaf
- Put the loaf on top of the bacon and then wrap the slices up around
- Wrap remaining bacon over the top of the loaf
- Bake for 50 minutes
