Ziti With Sicilian Meatballs

- marinara sauce shopping list
- 2 TBL olive oil shopping list
- 1 ½ Cup Chopped onion shopping list
- 2 clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 2 28 oz Cans diced tomatoes in juice shopping list
- 4 TBL Chopped fresh basil shopping list
- Meatballs: shopping list
- 2/3 Cup fresh breadcrumbs shopping list
- 3 TBL milk shopping list
- 1/3 Cup Grated Parmesan shopping list
- ¼ Cup Finely Chopped onion shopping list
- 3 TBL Chopped fresh basil shopping list
- 1 Lg egg shopping list
- 1 clove garlic shopping list
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- ½ Lb sweet Italian sausage shopping list
- ½ Lb hamburger shopping list
- Ziti: shopping list
- 1 Lb Ziti shopping list
How to make it
- Marinara Sauce (start 30 min. before baking meatball):
- Heat oil on medium low.
- Saute onion until golden.
- Add garlic for 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes and basil, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Meatballs:
- Preheat over to 350.
- Oil baking sheet.
- Mix breadcrumbs and milk, and let stand for 5 minutes.
- Mix in parmesan, onion, basil, egg, garlic and pepper.
- Add sausage and hamburger. Mix well.
- Form into 1 ¼" balls.
- Bake until light brown, about 30 minutes.
- Cook ziti according to package directions while meatballs bake.
- Top cooked ziti with sauce and meatballs.
