Ingredients
  • 3 (11-oz) cans tomatillos
  • 1-2 fresh jalapeño peppers, stem removed
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled
  • ¼ to 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons coarse salt
  • Juice of half a lime (or use the whole lime – up to you)

Directions
  1. Purée all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Makes about 3 cups.

Never seen canned tomatillo's-guess I'll have to open my eyes huh? Used to grow them, Lord knows I miss my garden. Whine.


I am going to make this with fresh tomatillos when I grow them again this sumer.
