I love this salmon dip. It's got wonderful depth of flavor. Even my MIL who "doesn't like salmon" asks me to make my great salmon dip.

Ingredients
  • 10 oz smoked salmon
  • 1 pkg cream cheese
  • 1 Tbs fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbs prepared white horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • capers (optional, garnish)

Directions
  1. Crumble salmon.
  2. Soften and beat cream cheese.
  3. Combine all ingredients in mixer or food processor. Mix/pulse until well blended. Longer if you like it totally smooth. Less if you like more texture. Or you can just use an old fashioned bowl and wooden spoon, which is my preference.
  4. You can add more or less horseradish and dill to taste.
  5. Garnish with a spoonful of capers and a lemon slice.
  6. Taste great on crackers, baguettes, crustini, etc...

This sounds outa this world!!!!!!!!!!!! And so easy.

I have always wondered how to make this! Thanks!

Can you substitute canned salmon or will it not work?

You could substitute canned "smoked" salmon. You could use regular canned salmon but you wouldn't get the unique flavor of smoked salmon.

I made this yesterday and it was BIG hit! tq, Mare
