These are so yummy..Can't remember which one but got this from a Good Housekeeping Cookbook

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 2 sticks of butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 small jar (3 1/2 oz.) macadamia nuts, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Beat all ingredients on low except nuts in a mixing bowl until well blended
- Roll level tbls. of dough into balls
- Spread nuts out on waxed paper
- Press one side of ball into nuts
- Put flattened balls, nut side up onto baking sheet 2 inches apart
- Bake for 15 minutes
- Let cool on rack
- Makes about 24 cookies

Could you tell me please, how much in cups or weight does a 'stick' of butter measure. I've only seen it in Canada in 1/2 or 1lb blocks. I print off a lot of recipes that have the butter measurement in sticks. HELP please cause I have to eat some of these '5' cookies
