SoCal Tropical Smoothie
From zhiannablu 17 years agoIngredients
- half cup pineapple frozen or fresh in chunks shopping list
- half cup papaya frozen or fresh in chunks shopping list
- half cup strawberries, can be frozen or fresh shopping list
- half cup mangoe frozen or fresh in chunks shopping list
- 1 banana in chunks shopping list
- 2 cups fresh juiced oranges or more shopping list
- ice if needed shopping list
How to make it
- the amount of fruits used is up to you, you may add as much or as little as you like to your taste.
- make sure they are cut into managable chunks.
- no ice needed if frozen fruit pieces are used.
- you can also add a teaspoon of Flaxseed to this smoothie.
- put all ingredients in any order into a strong blender ( i have a VitaMix, makes short work of making smooties and Flaxseeds are obliterated).
- add as much fresh juiced orange juice to move the fruit pieces around in the blender, and blend until very smooth.
- pour into glassed and serve immidiately and enjoy.
- *for some that want protien but without the added sugar, i use very soft tofu and add it into the smoothie, as not to disturb the rich fruity taste of this recipe, or use a vegan powder mix.
- **no need for honey if seasonal fruits are used.
- *** if some want to have a more healthy green smoothie, add some baby spinach and/or kale leaves, very healthy and good for you.
- ADJUST THIS RECIPE ACCORDING TO WHAT IS AVAILABLE IN YOUR AREA. ADD/OMIT ING. TO YOUR TASTE. EXPERIMENT AND MAKE IS YOUR OWN.
