Ingredients

How to make it

  • Boil enough water to cove a package of corn husk and soak for 2 hours,pat dry.
  • In the mean time prepare the salsa by combining all the Salsa ingredients and set aside.
  • Next prepare the soy 7 hamburger mix ( it is meatless) according to directions.
  • Combine Meat mixture with 1 1/2 cups of the Salsa set aside.
  • PREPARE MASA HARINA
  • Boil 3/4 cups of water and mix into Masa harina add spices and oil and blend well set aside
  • Fill Husk ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS ON PACKAGE
  • Steam tamales for 90 minutes.
  • Remove husk of 2 tamales and place onto a plate add Habenero
  • Dress with Chipotle Bar-b-q-sauce and some fresh cilantro leaves.
  • * Top with Spanish cheese

    dude i'm gonna have to try this! i'm recently motivated to cook nothing but south of the border food for the friends i live with as i recently went to costa rica and had some amazing food all week including HUGE tamales wrapped in banana leaves instead of cornhusks.
    there's some vegetarians in the house too.
