Baked Rigatoni with Ham and Fontina

- 1 box rigatoni shopping list
- 2 tbls. olive oil shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 1/3 cup flour shopping list
- 4 cups milk shopping list
- white pepper and salt to taste shopping list
- 1/2 lb. Fontina cheese, grated shopping list
- 1 10oz. pkg. frozen peas shopping list
- 1/2 lb. ham, cubed ( I use smoked) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Prepare pasta according to pkg. directions
- Drain and return to pot
- Heat oil and saute onion until tender.
- Stir in flour and cook for a minute or so
- Gradually add milk, salt and pepper , whisking all the while
- Remove from heat and add 1/2 the cheese, peas and ham
- Top with remaining cheese
- Bake in a 13x9 baking dish for 25-30 minutes.

I love this dish. Like my Uncle Dominic's ham and peas...he wasn't really a relative but he would happily share his good food and homemade wine.

Sounds just great! Might get Bryan to eat his peas...LOL...if not, I could always add some broccoli! Thanks for sharing...will be trying this one!
