Mels Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

They're my fav ones to make! :) Sometimes I substitute 1/2 c. of graham cracker crumbs for 1/2 c. of the flour and put in butterscotch chips instead of chocolate chips---pretty tasty, too! :) Enjoy! :)... Ingredients

3 1/2 c. AP flour

1 c. light brown sugar

1 c. Baker's white sugar (I use C & H)

2/3 c. margarine (I use Parkay)

2/3 c. shortening (I use Crisco)

2 tsp. pure vanilla

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

2 eggs

1 12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 c. toasted hazelnuts (optional)

Directions

Cream margarine, sugars, eggs and vanilla together with an electric mixer.

Add dry ingredients; mix well.

Add chocolate chips.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an airbake cookie sheet.

Bake @ 350 degrees for about 8-10 min., or until light brown.

Made these cookies last night 10/08/09 awesome I used 6 ounces of mini chocalate chips and 6 ounces of fresh pecans they were ate up by all my friends and some neighbors thanks again for the post!!!!!!!!!!!!!
