Ingredients

How to make it

  • In mixing bowl, mix eggs, sugar and vanilla until thick,( about 4 minutes)
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt, add to egg mixture and beat until combined.
  • In saucepan bring milk and butter to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Add to batter and beat until combined.
  • Pour into greased 13 x9 x2 inch pan
  • Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes, or until cake done.
  • Combine frosting ingredients and spread over warm cake. Broi until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes
  • ENJOY!!!!

    I remember the name Lazy Daisey Cake from the 70's. UGH! I am so old! Thanks for the post. Will trying this soon.

    This is identical to my Lazy Daisy Cake recipe! It is absolutely delicious and such a treat! One thing I do though, is when I take the cake out, I poke a whole bunch of holes in it with the end of a wooden spoon, then I pour the topping on. It goes right into the cake making it super moist. Also I half the cake part and make it in an 9x9 simply because we aren't big cake eater's in my house. BUT I use the amount of topping listed above on my 9x9. If I were to make it in a 9x13, I'd double the above topping. It's that good! You have my 5.
